Mike Kenyon, age 47, has a rich ministry background. He earned his B.A. in the D.C.E (Director of Christian Education) program with an emphasis in Youth and Family Counseling from Concordia University, Irvine in 1992, followed by his Master of Divinity from Rockbridge Theological Seminary in 2014 where the majority of his course work was completed at Fuller Theological Seminary. He served on staff at Mariners Church, Irvine from 1990 - 1997 where, among other roles, he filled the position of Associate High School Pastor. He went on to be the Director of Youth and Missions at Irvine Presbyterian Church for 6 years, during which time he also directed the Soul Survivor Worship and Outreach Festival twice, in 2003 and 2004, rallying over 1200 college students and 40 volunteers for a day of service and worship in the urban center of Santa Ana. In 2003 he moved to Rock Harbor where, for 6 years, he served as Pastor of Outreach. He shepherded over 80 volunteer leaders within Outreach, oversaw distribution of approximately $600,000 to Kingdom initiatives annually, taught discipleship classes, developed small groups curriculum, formed local and global mission partnerships, and was part of the Sunday morning preaching rotation. He was a member of the Strategic Team, which helped design and structure Rock Harbor. In 2012, Mike moved into the non-profit arena and for 5 years served as the Pastor of Church Development for Free Wheelchair Mission, building an infrastructure of support and a network of churches around the United States. He had a chance to preach all over the country, oversaw regional representatives, led teams on missions trips to distribute wheelchairs in developing countries and developed curriculum for churches about global disability. After 5 years with FWM, Mike moved back into church ministry and worked as the Pastor of Community Life at Mariners Church, Mission Viejo for 3 years. There he oversaw Life Groups, Worship, Men's Ministry, and Marriage & Counseling. He created and executed discipleship programs and was in the preaching rotation. He raised up, trained and equipped volunteers to serve, and he even led worship on occasion! In 2015 he was hired as the Lead Pastor for Voyagers Bible Church in Irvine, where he oversaw the staff of 22 and all departments, taught from the pulpit on a weekly basis, developed a teaching team from within the church congregation, prepared and oversaw all budgetary documents and worked intentionally with local churches in Orange County to serve the city of Irvine in Jesus Name.
Mike's Ministry Objective, in his own words:
My ministry objective is for the Lord Jesus to be glorified. My passion is to teach the Word of God and help disciples of Jesus integrate the truth of God’s Word into their everyday lives. Discipling people of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds to live out their faith is a primary emphasis of my vocational work. Having grown up in poverty, I have a heart for teaching people to understand the spiritual and physical needs of the poor; and thereby respond in Christian love and service. My ultimate goal is that men and women will experience a vibrant relationship with Jesus (grounded in prayer) and actively share the good news of the gospel in whatever setting God calls them.
Mike loves to write, play tennis and basketball, produce films that focus on justice issues, and attend college sporting events, but if you've met Mike, you know that his biggest delight is his family. He met his wife Allison over 20 years ago when they did ministry together at Mariners Church as volunteers. They've now been married for 19 years and have 2 teenage kids. Allison is a Kindergarten teacher in the Santa Ana school district. Son Austin, age 16, plays water polo and swims, and daughter Kylie, age 15, is going to run cross country in the fall. Both kids attend Northwood High School. As a family, the Kenyons love just being together! They love to share delicious meals, travel, go to the beach, and take their dog on fun walks.
Conrad Wozniak, Community Life Pastor
I am a simple person. I love my wife, waves, the wilderness, and I absolutely love alliteration! I grew up in Irvine, went to Pepperdine University and found my way back to Orange County. I got married a year ago and we live in Laguna Beach with the goal of making God’s Word known throughout our neighborhoods. I love a good cup of coffee so please don’t hesitate to reach out and have a cup and a good chat with me!
I look forward to serving this church the best that I can as we love God, love one another, and make disciples - together!

Susie Jones, Administrative Assistant
I’m a California native and a graduate of Laguna Beach High School, now residing in Newport Coast. I’m the proud mother of two grown children and two grandchildren – the loves of my life!
I’ve worked for a politician, and in the field of private investigation. Before helping Gene Molway plant Salt Church, I have been on the staffs of Coast Hills Church and Mariners Church. My interests include singing (I once had a band called Susie Martini and the Olives) and target shooting (I was once certified by the NRA as a pistol instructor). I have written The Upside of Cancer—after experiencing breast cancer—and Sherlock Jones: Date Crusader—advice to single women re-entering the dating world. More recently, I have written many dozens of booklets on various biblical topics, which is my passion (Evidence, Trojan Horse, The Days of Noah, to name just a few).
